Well, now we know what the yellowjackets were doing: they were keeping the ants down. This morning, ants were all over the kitchen, attacking a recently emptied bottle of honey. Omaha cleared out the sink while I cleaned the counters, and then came the vacuum cleaner antpocalypse. I sealed the hole where they were coming through, and painted the entire line of moulding where it meets the wall with a mixture of tea tree oil and ant poison, and that ought to keep them down.
This morning, I got a spam with the message "Guys with an 8" tool don't have to go down on girls." My reaction, "You want me to cut some of it off and give up one of my favorite hobbies? Are you insane?"

I received this spam today: Do you want your penis to be seven inches?

My first thought was, There's no way I'm cutting any more of it off. Circumcision was enough!

I've elided the link URL. I received this the day after I had completed a security survey and had a third party independently confirm that there was no external evidence of virtualization of the Pendorwright machine (i.e. nobody else was seeing any unusual traffic on the wire).

Sorry, this was just too amusing. Have these people no brains at all?

I got spammed today. At first, it seemed like pretty smart spam. It identified me by name, addressed a few issues I've discussed before, cited a blog entry I'd made, and so on. It was pitch: "Hi, I'm producing this show for the Discovery Channel and since you're someone who watches that channel, I was hoping you might mention my show in your blog."

And then I looked deeper. First, the show is nothing I'm interested in: the Discovery Channel oscillates between left-wing religious fantasy and right-wing muscularity, and in this case it was paranoid "Terrorists In Your Neighborhood‽" stuff. So I went and looked at the blog entry he cited. It was this one. Go ahead, see if you can spot the Discovery Channel reference. Tell me if it has any connection at all to this idiot's pitch.

Spammers are getting more annoying all the time. Off to Hell with you, then.
