Smart spammer, stupid move.

elfsI got spammed today. At first, it seemed like pretty smart spam. It identified me by name, addressed a few issues I've discussed before, cited a blog entry I'd made, and so on. It was pitch: "Hi, I'm producing this show for the Discovery Channel and since you're someone who watches that channel, I was hoping you might mention my show in your blog."
And then I looked deeper. First, the show is nothing I'm interested in: the Discovery Channel oscillates between left-wing religious fantasy and right-wing muscularity, and in this case it was paranoid "Terrorists In Your Neighborhood‽" stuff. So I went and looked at the blog entry he cited. It was this one. Go ahead, see if you can spot the Discovery Channel reference. Tell me if it has any connection at all to this idiot's pitch.
