Sex so good...
Jan. 9th, 2008 05:15 pm... I may have permanently injured myself.
On Saturday, if it's not clear enough, I went out with a beloved friend and had a very, very wild time. At one point, between serious bouts, I was sitting on the floor getting a very nice backrub when a sudden, sharp pain struck me right under the ribcabe on the left side. A broad band of muscle became solidly rigid and it hurt, a lot.
The pain subsided quickly, and soon it felt like it was gone. Just a muscle spasm. Except that ever since then, I've had bad heartburn and an acid feeling in my throat.
I'm hoping it's just a temporary weakening of the esophogeal sphincter caused by muscle strain. My biggest fear is that it's a hiatal hernia, which is a permanent and dietetically disabling condition. I let it go for a few days, but today it's just very bad-- the muscle that seized up that night again aches badly and the burning in my throat is now constant, low-level pain.
Anyway, I've done the right thing and called my doctor. I have an appointment on Friday and in the meantime and using one of those all-day acid inhibitors. Damn, this sucks.
And if that wasn't bad enough, the "service engine soon" light just came on in the car.

Date: 2008-01-13 04:08 pm (UTC)Last time the just reset the light and told me to come back if it came on again. It hasn't. (It originally come on a coupla days after an inspection when they had to jump-start my car - this resets some temporary memory like the trip odometers.)
My car seemed to run better after they reset the lamp; maybe the computer goes to some default settings? Placebo effect?
