Remember the Star Trek episode Mirror, Mirror? You know, the one where Spock had a beard and everyone carried an agonizer?

We live in that universe now. Taser, inc. now sells a combo taser holster and ipod holder. Taser has also begun marketing to women, with tasers selling in "fashion red" and "hot pink" to appeal to that market segment.

Stunners (of various sorts, including tasers), pain projectors (of various sorts, including tasers) and energy weapons (dazzling, blinding, and lethal) are all realities today. We're living to some extent in a world that would have been science fiction for those of us who grew up in the 1970's.
