Two other pictures I took Friday:

The Tiki People
While Omaha and I were making chicken pouches (one chicken breast, a half-can of mushroom soup, a quarter cup of milk, a cup of frozen veggies, and a sliced potato, wrapped in tinfoil and thrown into the fire) our neighbors fired up their tiki torches. Omaha reported that around 2am they started drumming, keeping her awake. We're not sure what they're up to.

View to the Southeast
I'm told that this camera has a lot of noise at high ISOs, and this picture confirms it. That said, this is a pretty impressive photo for such a little camera, with a sixty-second exposure using a camping chair and a gorillapod for stability. I really wish I had better manual control, but I'm not out to buy a Rebel quite yet.

Of course I meant the earth's rotation. :) It's just that when you point a camera at the stars and keep it steady with respect to the earth, then the stars move in the picture. It's all relative after all. ;)
