bayushi turned me on to The Pachabel Rant, which had me in tears, it was so damn funny. Absolutely the best laugh I've had all week. A definite cure for the Tuesday blues.

Eight notes repeated 54 times. What he doesn't mention is that there's a crescendo somewhere around the 37th repetition... I used to live for that bar.

I played this three years running, on cello and bass. One year I staged a protest, and had the entire orchestra turn their stands to face the conductor while we played it. One of the cello players couldn't do it, and not because she forgot where the crescendo went.
