WARNING: LIVEJOURNAL.COM HAS NOT CONDUCTED A FELONY-CONVICTION SEARCH OR FBI SEARCH ON "ELF M. STERNBERG".

Now, if you saw that, would you still want to date me?

Man, that's a sleazy business to be sure. And the way the template is worded, it could conceivably cover every business, LJ included, where people present themselves and make themselves available to others.

I work in an industry where in order to work, you must have passed a felony-conviction search and FBI search.

It don't mean nothin'.

Criminal background checks aren't going to stop a stalker, a date-rapist, or for that matter a simple creep.

Now what I would find amusing would be a "license to date."

But NOT the product of stupid government regulation.

... license to date.

Don't they sell those at Spencer's Gifts?

I meant in the sense of taking a pass-fail exam based on relationship basics, and then going on your test-drive date with an experienced person, who would give you an up-check or down-check based on a hundred-point list of criteria.

Only those who passed with a 70% or better would be allowed to date using the service. Personality matching and compatibility would be completely different subjects, such as people are free to choose what kind of car to drive.
