Yes, gather 'round, ladies and gentlebeings, and watch as the Amazing Mentallelf gets inside the mind of a four year old and reveals the devious working of that constrained cranium. I shall now channel her thougts and reveal to you precise predictions for coming days...

Last night, at about 3:30, Omaha crawled out of bed with a terrible coughing fit. Fifteen minutes later, I heard Kouryou-chan whining that she was cold and wet; she'd wet the bed. After consulting with Omaha and deciding that we couldn't deal with such a large and problematic mess right there, we left it until morning and let Kouryou-chan sleep in our bed.

Normally, her sleeping in our bed is a privilege. So now, she has found an easy way to make her tired and cranky parents give her the bed she wants. Bet she does it again tonight.

She forgets: we bought her a sleeping bag.

I actually remember having accidents as a child, and I don't remember well how it was fixed, but I swear one of the things that I was told was if I ever did it on purpose I'd sleep in it.

Probably they just said it to make sure I wasn't doing it on purpose, but... it was an effective threat.

I figured out why I kept doing that - I was very good at imagining I was in the bathroom, when all the time I was in bed. I finally learned to check for whether I was cold - if I was, I was in the bathroom and it was safe. Go fig, huh?

Some of my siblings had a bedwetting problem. "Problem" was defined as my mother not liking to clean it up. She figured she stop it if she held the offenders face to it long enough.

Wow. Stumbled onto this well after the fact. But as an adult I still have times when I'll dream I'm going to the bathroom and, erm, wake up with some laundry to do. It doesn't happen often enough for me to go to heroic efforts to stop it, but I wish I knew why it happened.

Well, good for you for noticing how the reinforcement is likely to work, and for thinking of the sleeping bag.

I'd probably have gone the same way. Mercy this time, discouragement of unwanted behavior by failure to positively reinforce if it's repeated.

Maybe have her help clean up, too?

This what I got for my daughter and son. Although my son has weak bladder, like his father. He's five and still wet the bed. This help me out going through it with my daughter. Just you may want to put comforter underneath the fitted sheet, so it would be a little more comfy.

My mum's told me that I started wetting my pants when my sis was born and I got slightly less attention. So she asked if I should have a change of clothes to the kindergarten in case i wet my pants there. The obvious reply from me was :"Oh, but I don't wet my pants in the kindergarten!"
hmm.... guess that'll count as a confession?
So there your incredible psychic powers would have predicted the workings of my mind as well ;-)
