It's Friday at Last

Well, last night
omahas and I were supposed to have a guest over, but she bailed. While unfortunate, it was also probably a good thing because Omaha came down with a 24-huour bug that left her listless and unprepared for guests. So I made comfort food, a risotto heavy with prosciutto, Parmesan cheese, mushrooms (warning: the link is to a rather hypnotic, but work-friendly, earworm, courtesy
kenshardik), and the usual mix of veggies: celery, carrots, onion, shallots, scalions. Yummy.
I also downloaded the Matrix: Revolutions trailer and, I'll agree, "It's nice to have something to look forward to." It does look a bit like the climactic battle is raw anime, but hey, it also looks like amazing eye candy. Watching Smith laugh is, um, creepy.
I also had to tell a dear friend that, sadly, I'm not available for a date anytime soon. It hurt; I really haven't had time to visit with anyone in an intimate way in a while, and I would love to go out on an "adult" date, but sadly, I have to be a parent first. Very frustrating. And she's the one I bought all of these Avanti's for, since she's latex-intolerant. Ah, well; they'll last.
Anyway, I now have enough stories written to get me through December. After that, I need to start assembling something for release.
