Booked Solid

Omaha bought me the most excellent Christmas gift, and I finally have had a chance to use it. After a breakfast of home-roasted coffee (I seem to have partially melted the chimney on the roaster-- eek!) and well-executed waffles, I took out the powerwasher and proceeded to work on the driveway. Now I feel all manly, having removed about 10% of the moss that is growing on the heavily slopped asphalt leading down to the garage. It will take a lot of work to get it all, but at least I now know that it is possible. Given how badly the moss has started to take over the sheltered drive, that's a massive improvement.

Omaha and Kouryou-chan went window shopping this afternoon, leaving me in the house all along. I've been doing absolutely nothing: reading a book, sitting about. Other than a shower to get some of the grime of this morning off (the powerwasher causes a lot of kickback; shoes get wet and you must wear safety glasses!) I have done absolutely nothing productive. Well, okay, I tinkered a thousand words into a new story, The Titan Rule (From Kim Stanley Robinson, commenting on Varley: "All missions to Titan must have at least one hot bi babe on board.") only to realize that I'd chosen the wrong POV character and would have to start over, as well as dropping another 200 or so into The Temple, but that's not a big deal.
