So, last night, as I'm driving Yamaarashi-chan home to her mother's house, the cat sneaks into mine and Omaha's bed and pees in it. We've had her checked; the doctor insisted there isn't much we can do for her right now and that it's probably behavioral. About the only thing I can think of is that the kids made such a cacophany last night that she did this as a form of revenge.

She managed to spray the comforter, the blanket, and my cozy. I spent all of last night tossing and turning because I was so damned cold and uncomfortable, and today I'm just a zombie. I even tried putting on sweats and sleeping with that, but it barely helped.

All I want out of life right now is eight uninterrupted hours of sleep... The kids get it. Heck, the kids willfully enjoy it. I should be able to get it too.

A cat breeder friend of mine recommends that once physical causes are ruled out, litter-training can be reinforced by placing the cat in a small space. Ideally there's just enough for food, litter, and a bed (folded towel, say). Since cats don't like to pee in the food or water, or in their bed...

Bathrooms can work well for this, if a bit of a pain.
