Yamaraashi-chan and I had a conversation yesterday evening, and one of the things we decided was that she no longer needs to be protected from the Internet by a psuedonym. She has her own Facebook account, which in true 13-year-old style is full of "OMG!"s, idle worship of idol celebrities, and the occasional shout of "Life is too confusing!", and it is under her own name.

Therefore, she would like me to stop calling her Yamaraashi-chan in print, and refer to her by her given name,

It wasn't my choice. As I understand it, Storm is named after some ancient patriarch of her mother's who was born on a tempest-tossed vessel crossing the Atlantic.

(It's also not my choice that her middle name is "Four," as in her mother's fourth child.)

I'm picturing something Buffy-esque, an urban-fantasy heroine who - like her three older sisters - has a personality like a class 5 hurricane, and a gift for calling down lightning that has been passed down their family for generations. But "Storm Four" is actually her official title, and her real name is Genevieve Lupe de la Montoya. A strong woman, she nonetheless falls hard for the tall, dark, and handsome mysterious mage named Devon McCloud who seems to be a very good man but is really secretly her arch-nemesis, coveting her power, and she is such a pawn in his complex game that we don't find out he's the villain until the third book. Even after finding out the truth, she still loves him, but must make the hard choice to kill him for the good of all mankind.

Actually, her middle name *means* four. It's not "four". But, yeah, her other three older sisters have middle names of similar nature.
