On July 5th, Omaha and I pulled the plug on Direct TV. We didn't watch enough television, we got plenty through Hulu, YouTube, various legit outfits, and when we wanted movies we had our NetFlix queue.

Over the next three days, we received seven calls from Direct TV Customer Retaliation Retention, begging us to come back. They'd slash the price to half, no a third!, of what we were paying before.

We finally just started hang up on them. But Caesar's Ghost, people, when someone says 'no' the third time, don't go asking a fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh time. That's the kind of crap my ten-year-old pulls.

Actually, there's a worse department to come to the notice of - collections.

My cell number used to belong to someone ran off and stopped paying. Took weeks and a silent ringtone on the cell phone before they stopped bothering me.
