The weekend, ended
Dec. 8th, 2008 07:34 pmIt was a lovely Sunday after all. I took the girls to a Christmas Tea at
tabbifli's house, and we gave a lift to
lisakit.
omahas, sadly, had to stay home to work and attend a meeting. The drive was terrible; winter rains have settled over the city with its usual nastiness. We landed at Alex and Tabbi's house and noshed and drank tea and had a good time, and I met a few other people whose names I don't remember or don't have knowledge that it would be okay to mention on-line. Lisa brought a delicious stew, there was a wonderful potato salad, and the scones were fabulous.
I covet a plug-in quick-boiling pot like Tabbi's.
Eventually, the party wound down. I don't have much knowledge of City of Heroes, sadly, and couldn't participate in much of the conversation, and it was time to go anyway. We drove home. On the way, I saw this photo and yes, I take some pictures just to mock them.
I dropped Lisa at home and then the kids and I went back to the Villa and had a quiet night. We had home-made pizza for dinner.
Yamaraashi-chan is deep into Twilight. At one point, I saw her bare arms and said to her, "You do not have hairy arms."
"I shaved them."
"You shaved your arms? When? Where did you get a razor?"
"At my Mom's house."
Sigh. She cannot outgrow that obsession fast enough.
This morning, tragedy struck. She had gotten her hair wet last night in the shower, and slept on a wet head. Her lovely haircut was a mess. Omaha, bless her heart, saved the day, getting her hair wet with a water spritzer and showing her how to brush it so it would curl under correctly.

Oh, and tell her she'll have to moisturize as well since the hair previously helped distribute her natural oils to the skin.
Body maintenance is "fun".
