Jul. 31st, 2008 02:56 pmBarack Obama today in Cedar Rapids, Iowa:
We want to have a serious debate. But so far, we've been hearing about Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. I do have to ask my opponent: is that the best you can come up with? Is that really what the election is about? Is that worthy of the American people? Even the media has pointed out that McCain has fallen back into ... predictable political attacks and demonstratively false statements... Spending all this time talking about me instead of talking about what he's going to do. That's not going to lower your gas prices. That's's not going...to help you find a job if it's been shipped overseas. It doesn't do a single thing to help the American people. It's the politics of the game. But the time for game-playing is over. That's why I'm running for President.

Date: 2008-08-01 10:11 pm (UTC)Why do people know more about the racist connections that Obama has (Rev. Wright, being the biggest example) than about his political philosophy? Why are people more concerned that we have the first Black President than we are about having a president who actually knows what they are doing?
Why did Obama move to Chicago to start his political career? Because he was advised that Illinois politics were ripe for a fast-track for the right BLACK candidate. He was also advised at the same time to join the Trinity Church for the same reason.
Obama has been playing the race card HIS ENTIRE POLITICAL CAREER.
These are not lies or smears... they are FACTS.
As for unpatriotic... Obama's more concerned with aid to Africa or buddying up to France's leader than he is about bettering our own country. He wants to move us toward socialism and penalize capitalism... that's unpatriotic. While overseas, he said that there is a standing rule that Senators abroad do not criticize seated presidents, then immediately segues into the problems with the current administration. Not only unpatriotic, but VERY hypocritical at the same time.
