I've put myself on a Usenet diet. I'm allowed to read it once a day, and that's it. I've so far been good about it, just as I've been pretty good about keeping the amount of pop I drink down from a six-pack to less than one a day.
But I keep finding myself typing in the command: g n u s ctrl-g (the last there means "cancel" in my command line handler).
Man, I just watched episodes 15 and 16 of Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, 2nd Gig and what a load of "As you know Bob." It's hard to believe that that much exposition is necessary to make the rest of the season make sense. Still, the art is nice and the characterization of the new Prime Minister makes her prime romance material for Aramaki-- ya think? (Those of you who've finished the series, don't give it away.)
And by God (and I use that term liberally!) it's so nice to see "Rabbi" Daniel Lapin getting very nervous as investigators tear apart his little one-man "Toward Tradition" group to find out how much money he laundered between Abramoff and Delay. The man has needed his comeuppance for a long, long time.
