Respectful Insolence's Orac has a wonderful schtick called "The Zombie of Hitler's Corpse," in which he documents the most moronic violations of Godwin's Law. In today's episode, "Far, far, sooner than expected, the monster returns to invade the Presidential campaign," Orac brings us Seattlites this stunningly idiotic moment of spew from AM 770 KVI's own Brian Suits:
I heard the other day some right-wing pundit claim that the Democratic Party was going to become "unhinged" when it finally figured out that it's not running against George W. Bush, but John McCain. At the time, my reaction was, no, dude, the Dems aren't running against George Bush. They're running against the Republican Brand, which has about as much legitimacy in the U.S. at this moment as Union Carbide does in Bhopal. A brand that McCain endorses wholeheartedly, to the point of voting against a Democratic bill that would applied the military rules against waterboarding to the CIA.
The right-wing punditocracy, on the other hand, has been slathering to work on Hillary. That's been their playbook for two years now: get together what it takes to get Hillary. And they are becoming unhinged at the idea of having to take on Obama, because he's not Hillary. Everything they've worked toward for the past two years will go to waste. They've got nothing on this guy other than his middle name-- a name he didn't get to pick for himself. (Go read World Net Daily if you can stand to lose a few braincells; Obama there is always referred to as "B. Hussein Obama". It's charming in a kindergarten sandbox bully kind of way.)
Does the fact that only Barak Obama is the only presidential candidate that will appear on Oprah's show, does that make her a Nazi racist? Is it mutually exclusive that a black woman can be a also a Nazi? I don't think so. I frankly think she is a Nazi.He goes on for a while in that vein.
