Dear Gods, please tell me this man hasn't bred:
If it took "millions of years" for man to evolve from a rock with all of his complexities, what probability is there that a compatible female would arrive by the same process at the same time and place to propagate a human race?
Arrgh! The stupid, it burns!

count on it, he has, and would insist that his daughters breed, too. goes with the territory, ne?

What a mouthbreather.

There are a lot of Huckabee voters out there.

Maybe it's finally time to build those rockets to Venus.

Keep in mind what happened to its chief technical advisor.

It's hard enough to find a "compatible female" (see, even the conservatives have trouble with the word "woman" these days) without demanding that evolution do it for us.

Gives a whole new meaning to "I wouldn't sleep with you if you were the last man on Earth"

Indeed.

Y'know, I make this rant every once in a while where I see someone use "male" and "female", which are adjectives, when what they really mean are the more precise nouns "man" and "woman."

What I find interesting in this particular sentence is how he juxtaposed "man," which is precise: a human male, with "female," which is imprecise: a female what? Earthworm? Pigeon? Bonobo?

I'd be afraid to ask what his definition of a "compatible" female is. I mean, technically there are all kinds of species that are "compatible" to the human male.

Just sayin'...

He might be able to breed with a female bonobo, though the offspring would probably be sterile. Earthworms and pigeons are Right Out.

He seems not to grasp that a "species" includes both sexes.

Wow, did miss a single creationist fallacy? let's see..

god of the gaps. Ho yeah.
unchallenged call for 'proof'. yep.
'just a theory'. yep.
thermodynamics. Yeah.
evolution and origin of the universe=the same. Yeah.

from his own words, "Yelling long enough and loud enough does not validate facts."

take your own advice.

"If the sacred cow of evolution is so high and mighty, let it be tested by the scientific method."

Hasn't this been happening? Creationism has been tested by the scientific method too, and found sorely lacking.

Actually *by definition* neither creationism nor ID *can* be tested. By *any* method.

Which is why they aren't science.

Evolving from a rock--that's a new one on me. If that line were in a parody I would think they were getting a little overly silly, so...wow.

I'll have you know that's very good biology ...

I noticed that the staff of the paper 'removed' the top five or so comments- I didn't scroll down far. Perhaps there will be a compatable chimp somewhere= after all a 90% match of chromosomes is better odds than a dating service- although it might significanty lower the average IQ of chimps. Aaaaarrgh!!! Where do they find these morons?
