That's the way I type too. I think it has to do with "old school" touch typing techniques. Today they rarely worry about speed other than can you do more than 40, and I've found a sad few who even do touch typing anymore.

I agree with the delay situation on the testing. It was actually quite annoying, especially with the delay in rolling over to the next line each time. I'm used to having a full page to test type from and having a pause only to turn the page.

Kinda fun though. Glad to know I haven't lost it much.

Especially given the delays inherent in the test style they were using. As in, what Tabbifli said.

I got 75 wpm. Retaking it I varied between 69 and 79 (my fastest tested score ever was 84). Correcting my words slows me way down.

My hands hurt now. I gotta remember to use my quilter's gloves when I type. I used them when I played Wallyball and they're great for crocheting and lots of other stuff - you can get a version in the grocery stores now too.
