I discovered last night, under my bathroom counter, a bottle of Nyquil, once called the Food of the Gods by those of us fighting off the nasty ravages of some unnamed virus. I realized that I had an old bottle, as it still has real pseudoephedrine in it. Curious, I went to the Internet, suspecting that Nyquil now has that "substitute" crap in it that doesn't work, phenylephrine.

Nope. It just doesn't have anything. Nyquil is now 1/4 less effective than it used to be. Frackin' meth heads.

As Omaha pointed out, they no longer bill themselves as the "Nighttime sniffling sneezing... yadda yadda" medication.

My own solution for what to do with/about meth-heads is to just give them all the meth they can smoke and shoot up. It rapidly would become a self-correcting problem.

And I also observe that the legist-critters who voted for and passed these kinds of laws have easy access to taxpayer funded gold plated insurance, and to instantly on-call pet doctors, who can and do cut them scripts for the actually effective cold remedies with just a phone call.

That is, they don't have to suffer any of the cost of their grandstanding.

Even the Nyquil clones no longer have it. It's damn irritating to have to choke down an extra pill when you're already threatening to bring stuff back up.

Hope you're feeling better quickly.
