Actually, I winced through the dinner party; never was something meant to be funny so damn painful to read. It was throughout the Council of Counts and Gregor's wedding that I laughed so hard I was scaring the cat. That's how something like that should wrap up.

The keystone cops scene of the butter bug battle was... amusing slapstick... but kept distracting from Lois's amazing upward spiral. The relentless "and all the pieces fall satisfyingly into place" of the Council of Counts should not have been interrupted by it.
