Quick, what book series is this man reviewing, and (extra credit) what analogy is he making?
Consider for a moment the fact that no sane parents would give their children books which portrayed a set of "good" pimps and prostitutes valiantly fighting a set of "bad" pimps and prostitutes, and using the sexual acts of prostitution as the thrilling dynamic of the story.

I'd say off-hand he's talking about Harry Potter and has read too much fanfic is of the "all magic is bad" school of thought.

Surely this must be a review of the popular seven book series for children which portrayed a set of "good" witches and wizards valiantly fighting a set of "bad" witches and wizards, and using the magical arts as the thrilling dynamic of the story.

And I would assume he's a Christian conservative of some sort, to be making that analogy.

Let me guess, yet another "Christian" review of Harry Potter?

What's with the scare quotes?

Well, I find that a large number of the people and groups who identify as Christian these days have so little in common with what he taught that they are Christian in name only. Much of the garbage that spews from their mouths has little in common with the message of love and compassion that a number of us still try to follow. I, personally, like to keep myself separate from them, and I don't like how their ass-hattery reflects on those of us who actually try to follow Christ's teachings.

I'm going to go with the Harry Potter theme in the comments, and say he is probably making the stretch of wands == penis.

But, I must say, a story where that review was actually the mechanics and not an analogy sounds interesting. ;-) But then, I watched some of Bible Black today.

Scary Jesus person talking about Harry Potter and the use of magic in the books.

I got it all wrong. Here, I thought he was reviewing the bible, and was speaking about the genocide and evil acts both portrayed.

I wasn't thinking about childrens' books, since parents give their children the bible.

I'm in the Harry Potter camp, with the guy equating magic with prostitution.
