Our dear leader has proudly proclaimed that since he took action on September 11th, 2001, the United States has not seen an act of terrorism on its soil.

Which, of course, explains this IED found in Austin, Texas, last week.

Oh, wait.

Yeah, between this wacko and the Animal Liberation Front and only the FBI knows what else, we've had only a few cases of arson and bombing, not a terrorist attack.

Or the Alabama raid.
Even Faux Noise (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,268726,00.html) is covering it.

but they can't possibly be terrorists. They're not brown. They are Christians. And Christians, by definition can't be terrorists.
*headdesks just typing that argument*

I take it the Anthrax Mailer wasn't a terrorist either

It's all in how you look at it.

definition, as amended by the current regime:

terrorism: the calculated use of violence (or threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear, THAT DID NOT HAPPEN ON U.S. SOIL SINCE 9/11/2001

Wait, 9/11 wasn't an act of terrorism. It was just poor flying skills and an act of arson.

Oh, and the VA Tech shooting wasn't terrorism. It was just a suicidal Korean boy.

These are the best of times. These are the worst of times.

All I ask is a little consistency. If 9/11 was an act of war, then what happened in Austin can best be described as a terrorist planting an IED. If 9/11 was a criminal act, then the bombing of a women's clinic in Texas is just low-level noise in the ongoing battle for women to be given control over their bodies.

"Now did you read the news today
They say the dangers gone away
But I can see the fires still alight
There burning into the night."

I feel so safe. The orange glow of the Amber Alert bathes me in soothing light.

Funny, how those people who bomb abortion clinics aren't considered terrorists, isn't it?

Yeah, they're _so_ not terrorists that we can divert the money we used to spend tracking them down to hunting the ELF. You know the ELF -- it's the only terrorist movement that has no members, but is basically just an Internet meme?
