A SWINGERS club that serves up sexual intercourse and pretend torture can now add alcohol and food to its menus.

Police visited Destiny - SX last December and found an observation area outside an imitation dungeon equipped with restraining devices and five rooms with large beds.

The membership form states: "Destiny - SX stages sexual activity, intercourse and S&M play may take place between consenting adults."

Pretend? Pretend‽ (I do love my interrobangs.) Bah. Amateurs. Journamalism^[?] at its finest. Still, the idea of a wine night at the 'Spot might be nice.

Has the UK revised its statutes so that individuals can consent to BDSM-related activities? You may recall a particularly infamous case wherein a ruling (contrary to sanity) denied the very concept of consent to BDSM-related sexual activities, and convicted consensual sexual partners with assault.

I don't know very much about the case, but it was a huge source of upset to a lot of people I know.

Anyway, if they haven't, that could be the cause for the use of the word "pretend."

I've just programmed emacs to spit out the ‽ sequence when I need it. I have no idea what it is in real life. I just know there's a number sequence and how to use it.

Maybe if someone is just going to voyeur, but as one of the Dungeon Monitors, I certainly would not like to see people drinking at The Wetspot. We have a hard enough as it is now with people wanting to play after they've been clubbing. BDSM is not something that is really enhanced with the addition of alcohol. Then again, there have been some DM shifts where I really could have used a drink when it was done.
