The Ooh Shiny Temptation
Jan. 24th, 2007 09:29 pmSo, my attention for Dove's crisis is flagging as I deal with the lack of scene and sequel in her current life, and Rhiane and Illonca deal with the consequences of immortality, and Zia and Polly are heading for their big conflict based upon Zia's absorption of a particularly nasty rural attitude on Sparta (courtesy of Mdm. de Pompadour), I've been looking over the third Aimee novel.
I shouldn't. I really shouldn't. I have too much to finish. But Princess Jerrica's story tempts me so badly, to reach out and have her world turned upside-down by discovering that she has magic, and the conflicts that erupt around her, and the refuge she finds in a hidden trove of forbidden history books, and the dark evil she reads there that scarily mimics her own situation.
Okay, Dove has one more story to end her arc (to show her first minor victory), and Zia & Polly have two, and Rhiane & Illonca have one more. There were two more possibles (Zia and the twins, Khrystyne and the twins) but they no longer feel right with the direction the twins have taken. That will effectively close off their arcs and I'll be done with that part of Sterlings. There's still the Jessa and Emma arcs to take care of, and I have two episodes of the Polestar arc to consider. I haven't decided what to do with the Kacea arc.
Then, maybe, I'll tell Princess Jerrica & Prince Rhiada's story.
