Sweet! The more I play with my Lumix TZ1, the more I love it. Check this out. It's as boring as any family slideshow you can imagine, but it came out of something tiny that I hold in my pocket. Rock on. Thank you, Omaha, for such a wonderful Yuletide gift.

Brings back happy memories of sledding on the hill next to the highway overpass. Turn right, you're on the highway. Build up too much speed, and you'd slam into the chain link fence. Good times, with those old wood and metal sleds.

It occurred to me, while watching the video, that you are very careful about your children and the 'net. I know that the names you use for them in your journal and other on-line places are pseudonyms, for instance. However, at a family outing like this, it is also likely that those there will use their real names which might get caught by the camera's microphone. If you hadn't thought to listen carefully and double-check that you aren't exposing your children's identity in your videos, I'd thought I'd remind you.

I have long decided that there are two parts to sledding: the downhill part, which is fun, and the uphill part, which isn't. For me, I've come to the conclusion that the downhill part isn't fun enough to justify the uphill part. People have told me that the uphill part is less unfun when you have siblings to watch and play with.

I'm still trying to figure out how to crop out the first two seconds I have of the video of Kouryou-chan sledding for that exact reason. And I agree that it's probably more fun when you have an audience to respond to.
