Date: 2006-11-10 05:00 am (UTC)The third party here has been pushing for proportional representation, trouble is we elect by constituency with one candidate representing a region. If they brought in proportional representation it would create the issue thatyou wouldn't have the right to pick which party represents your constituency necessarily. I can see why they want it though, as the third party they would get a bigger share in government plus it does have its appeals on first glance.
