Having a day.

elfsWell, it's my second day of domesticity without Omaha. Although I went to bed an hour early last night, I slept terribly. I had allowed Kouryou-chan to sleep in bed with me because both her mother and Yamaraashi-chan were gone, and she's a tossy-turny type of sleeper. Even with a pillow between us, she managed to cramp me to the edge of the bed, and the fact that the cat likes to sleep on my side in the lower corner didn't help. I awoke around 2:00am and was up for an hour, hacking software, before becoming sleepy enough to head back to bed.
I tried to bake Alton Brown's breakfast bars, but one of the things I neglected to do while cooking them was to taste-test the ingredients: the sunflower seeds had gone rancid and were awful-tasting. I've thrown them out. Fortunately, there were some leftover pancakes in the freezer; Kouryou-chan ate those for breakfast instead.
I spend the morning cleaning the kitchen and living room, doing more dishes, and generally being lazy. I played Doom 3 a little, and have mostly been hacking. I don't feel like I'm getting nearly as much done as I could, but I am supposed to be taking it easy this week. I wonder if what I'm doing now counts.
