Is there anything ironic about the President declaring this week to be National Character Counts Week? Especially since this week he also conducted fundraisers for George Allen, who's battling accusations of corruption and racism, and for Don Sherwood, who recently admitted to cheating on his wife, and whose adulterous lover is suing him for domestic abuse.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to count characters in your writing? For that matter, do you know what the current character count is in your published Journal Entries?

I suspect it's several hundred, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's over a thousand.

Unfortunately, I don't have time this week to do a character count, so I'm glad Bush wants the whole nation to participate.
