Okay, I know James Dobson is completely clueless, but just how mindlessly idiotic and insensitive does he have to be to chide Jewish parents who tell their children about the Holocaust, because such stories contain "horrific violence that lacks the redemptive power of Christ's atonement?"

Jesus, save me from your followers! Doesn't this man paint himself as an ally of Israel? "Left behind," indeed.

It's funny that Dobson probably wonders why more conservative-inclined Jews won't make common cause with him on political matters. 'We have so much in common,' I imagine him saying.

To be fair, the article was written by someone else; Dobson is only listed as the publisher. But still, you'd think someone on his editorial board would have said, "Hey, wouldn't saying something like this piss off our Jewish allies?"

My very pro-Jew sentiment

Funny, I was just thinking about the Holocaust today and what a powerful story it tells about the power of faith, and the Jews who clung to the support of their God through a horrific time. I think it would be important to tell children: see, our religion works, our people persevere. Of course, the Christians wouldn't want anyone to get THAT message.
