Mmmm. Buffalo.

Saturday was nice and quiet. We ran around and did the monthly Costco run and our weekly run to Safeway-- where Yamaraashi-chan discovered to her happiness that her eldest sister now works there behind the deli counter. The kids and I ran down to the hardware store where I picked up a couple of 2x4's and some plywood with which to make a good old-fashioned cider press. Omaha and I discovered what was wrong with our Quake 4 updating process and have successfully fixed out installs, so we had a good round of blowing each other up last night.
One of the places we stopped at on the way home was B&E meats, a local butcher shop. Good place, always has great beef jerkey, but this time they also had ground buffalo. We bought a pound and had buffalo burgers for dinner. Yummmy! Omaha complains that I make my burgers too small and too thick, so this time I used the largest round cookie cutter we had to make sure they were as large as the buns we used and as flat and patty-like as reasonably possible. It worked well.
I really should get to work on fixing the stories, though.
