*Sigh* White screen of death

Well, it looks like I will need to buy a new inverter or monitor for the T23. I really hope it's the inverter; the behavior is consistent. If it's not that, it's something on the MB, and that's just doom.

Have you tried just hosing down all the connectors with contact cleaner? The compaq laptop I have had (as a line) a real problem with corrosion at the inverter connection, leading it to turn on and off at the most inopportune moments. Undoing and hosing down the monitor connector at the motherboard, and the connections at each end of the inverter, has had it working fine for the last year.

Isnt the inverter only used to drive the backlight?
