As I said, Omaha put her foot down with respect to our budget and except for milk, eggs, and bread, we're not going out grocery shopping this week. So for dinner last night-- what do we have? A bag of frozen vegetables, hunks of frozen halibut, and couscous. I'm out of maple syrup but, hey, I've got honey: grilled halibut with maple/mustard glaze (a little sage, a little oregano), couscous with sautee'd shallot, and steamed veggies. It was really good. And I cracked open a bottle of Zarafa, a South African wine that was very, very yummy.

I seem unable to eat just a normal sandwich. No, I can't just make "grilled cheese." For lunch my grilled cheese sandwich had to have eight-year-old Romanio, blended with chedder and topped with prosciutto. Mmmm. The girls ate hot dogs. Philistines.

Face it, Elf, you're a foodie. Even your leftovers and your scrounging are gourmet. *chuckle* and I'll bet those hot dogs your Philistine girls ate weren't just Oscar Mayer either.

I wish I could do half as well. Probably just a matter of practice... and reading your food pr0n. :)

(which reminds me, post on the subject coming...)
