elfsWhenever I see Charlie Stross churning out copy, it seems part of my brain is convinced I have to keep up with him. The Temple grew to 16,541 words today over the 13,694 it had yesterday. That's pretty damned good progress.
It's too bad I'll have to rewrite significant parts of it. As is typical for a first draft, a character's motivation did not become clear until far after the opening, and I have some characterization weaknesses (no! you don't say!). But it's mucho progress, and I feel good about it.
