Date: 2005-09-15 03:50 am (UTC)Essentially he forgot to SAY it that way. Sort of the opposite of blurting it out, he just thought it so loudly he didn't realize what he was implying.
And yes, I'm speaking as a geek who, despite having a fairly solid grasp of the english language, manages to do exactly the same thing on a depressingly regular basis.
