I've noticed, on days when I do my workout, that I feel different for the rest of the day, and not necessarily in a good way. I'm much more sensitive to temperature, I feel like I'm running hot & fast, and I don't necessarily enjoy it. I know that after a workout my metabolism ramps up to keep up with my morning demands and stays that way for a while.

Has anyone else experienced this?

On the other hand, a friend of mine who I don't see often said that I was looking much better. Now if only I can figure out how to actually reverse aging.

I'm working on it.

i feel similarly weird. though i actually run cold for the rest of the day. people have told me that this is a sign of dehydration, but i drink more than enough water to be sure that is not the case. by cold i mean, go home in my workout clothes, put a hood over my head, and sleep under a pile of blankets in the summer kind of cold. it also does nothing to give me energy. in fact, the more i work out, the more tired i feel. if it weren't for exercise keeping my weight down, and pilates helping with some of the effects of my scoliosis, i don't imagine i would work out at all.

sorry i have no helpful advice, but i thought i'd mention that you're not alone in exercise not making you feel as fantastic as the experts say it should.

That does sound like a hot metabolism. That's how exercise burns off weight (the calories burned during the exercise itself are usually outweighed by the ones burned in the "afterburn").

Lots of people complain about how *hard* it is to get into that metabolic state, especially after decades of bad eating and low exercise.
