I know I'm a few days late, but the final chapter of Wishing Well: Going Home has been posted to the website. If you like it, leave comments here or in the post for the last episode; I'll get them all.

And I'm going to take a break from writing for a while. I haven't been writing with quite the caliber I feel you all deserve; there's been something missing from my writing for a while now. Wishing Well managed to capture some of it, being as it was an excuse to write full-bore smut with just enough characterization that I could avoid full-on cardboarding of my characters. I've definitely been burning out trying to do a gazillion things at once. Maybe I'll be able to get my thoughts in order and do something useful. Eventually.

Excused...

I think that you're allowed all the time to regenerate that you need, regardless of what your audience wants. How often we try to hold ourselves up to some ideal that doesn't make sense. Remember, you write because you enjoy it. You have a full time paying job, a full time non-paying Husband job, a full time non-paying Dad job, a part time non-paying poly job... Something has to give way.

As much as I have enjoyed your stories over the years, I would wholly support you never writing again if it means you don't burn out for Omaha and the Girls.

Sometimes we need to take the time to Be. Now go and just Be.
