elfsAimee: A Visit to Pyu-Rika: The City has been posted to alt.sex.stories.moderated and to my website. Enjoy! This isn't the, ahem, climax: that's in two weeks. And it's hot.
I also made significant and happy headway into Connected Responsibilities, which was nice. I kinda went to my happy place; I wasn't happy with big multi-group confrontations, which was what the first and second drafts were like, so I short-circuited the whole set-up and restarted the story about ten minutes before the love scene; the characters talk about the big confrontation from their two-person point of view, which makes it much more intimate. Since the story is about them, getting the other characters out of the way made a lot of difference. I threw away the first two drafts (about 3,000 words altogether) but the third draft is already 1,900 words and is, um, cooking! I will have to rewrite it a bit to get the passion and reluctance just right, but at least it's a draft with which I'm happy.
