I decided that I couldn't wait and uploaded the new Aimee' stories up to my website a day early. The index engine will still not let you read the later ones until their dates arrive (February 14th and 28th, March 14th and 28th), but the first one is now publicly available.
I decided to do this because I read today that high school students believe that the First Amendment goes too far in the freedom it guarantees, and that half of all the students surveyed believe that people should get government permission before publishing anything, and 17% believe that people should not be allowed to express unpopular opinions for any reason.
It's been a nice country, and I've enjoyed the freedom to write in it. I hope you like the story, at least until the censors come for us all.

WHAT???
Date: 2005-01-31 06:29 pm (UTC)I may be one of the farthest from you politically, but I know manure when I hear it! The First Amendment cannot go to far - it is FREEDOM to speak. Isn't there a quote, "I may disagree with your statement, but I will defend to the death your right to speak it."
These high school students need to get their heads out of their asses, and their civics teachers need to be flogged for incompetence!

It's a pleasure to read your work, I'll read as much as you decide to give. Thanks for sharing this with all of us!
I think there may be something wrong...

Date: 2005-02-01 03:39 pm (UTC)Aimee' started out as something of an experiment. I had never written fantasy before. I
don't even read that much of it. But I was struck by the potential of this idea, and the
result was Aimee'.
The last tag on the page is a /dl tag, so I suspect it's getting truncated somehow.
