Today's kanji is 水, meaning "water." It is usually pronounced みず,as in the word 水色 (みずいろ), lit. "water color", meaning "light blue," when used alone (the kun or native reading) and スイ,when used in combination with other kanji, as in 水泳 (すいえい), meaning "swimming", in the on or "Chinese" reading.

All I'm seeing is question marks. What font are you using and where can I get it? :)

Weird... I tried to respond to you, but it ended up being marked as going to someone else. If you come back to the thread, you'll see my response.

Funny - your post looks fine in Mozilla, and probably Firefox. But the kanji looks like empty squares in IE. Needless to say, we know what browser you're using...

Except I didn't use a browser.

I used an LJ client (logjam) in UTF-8 mode.

I was going to say "kochi", since that's what I thought I had. It works fine on my laptop in UTF-8 mode, but on my desktop, some of the characters are still question marks. (My laptop has a ton of fonts, however.) I tried updating the font collection, but it didn't work, I'm still seeing the question marks. I'll do some research and try to figure out what's different.
