IIRC Ikea is a good place for candles; I know they have good dripless unscented tapers, not sure if their pillars are scented or not... could always call & ask...
They have scented ones that are very powerful but I head straight to the dripless unscented tapers and the tealights. For a reasonably low price, you get good quality and quantity.
I head to IKEA twice a year to stock up on candles, napkins and elderberry juice concentrate. I like looking at all the other stuff, but those three are the bulk of my purchases. In fact, last month's trip's bill was more than fifty percent napkins. (-;
Where were you shopping that unscented candles were listed as a speciality item?
In the beginning is pricey...once you have the stuff....it's not. You can get cool molds for all occasion. You don't have to worry about fining the right colors to corinated with how you decorate with in the season.
It's fun hobby to do with the kids as well. It’s introducing them to chemistry. Use it as educational learning tool. My fun Idea I do with my daughter, my son gets a big kick in being a mad scientist.
