Well, for the next couple of weeks I'm going to try and get back to normal, reducing my shrillness to the occassional howling at the dead uncaring stars. It will be hard.

For those of you who might be interested, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex will be airing on the Cartoon Network during Adult Swim, starting this Sunday. Now y'all get to enjoy the same transhumanist goodness as I've been for the past year, and appreciate the eye candy that is Major Motoko Kusanagi.

And I just finished watching Tsukiyumi Moon Phase episode 2, and I have to say that I'm enjoying this series a lot. Of all the stuff that's come out this season, this is the show that's really captured a lot of what I like about anime. The art's okay, but the writing is interesting and we'll have to see if Hazuki/Luna is, well, "different" from the way she was trapped inside her father's castle.

Is the english dub of SAC any good? I thought the original GitS was done rather well, but I have seen many in which I would rather have read the subtitles with the japanese dialog intact because the emotion was expressed better.

...I've seen a lot of dubs. I've seen some that were good (Trigun), some that were atrocious (Evangelion), and a rare one or two that I actually preferred to the original (Mononoke). This one isn't bad. Aramaki isn't very good, Kusanagi is tolerable, and Meat-Boy Togusa is actually really good once you remember that he is supposed to be a 'would-be hero'. I'd say if you can't afford the DVDs, then the Cartoon Network should be a viable option.
