So, I went and voted. It was no problem at all. I picked up my ballot, whipped out my Palm with my cheat sheet on it, and proceeded to fill out the bubbles as I found them. To my annoyance, there were two things I chose not to vote on-- they were not in the voter's pamphlet, nor on the sample ballot I had reviewed a week before. They were minor judicial races I knew nothing about. Grrr....

I think my vote was pretty mixed: Democrats, Republicans, and Libertarians in more or less equal measure. I didn't vote for Bush, Christine Gregoire, or Adam Smith, I'm afraid. I always vote Libertarian for the Lt. Governor since the Libs have promised to eliminate the office or at least the income. It's some absurd amount of money for the job of, basically, sitting around in case the Governor dies.

I've been sitting around all day, on call in case Omaha or one of the voters in her precinct needs a ride to the polls. It's been pretty boring, but unfortunately I haven't really felt up to writing very much. Sigh.

Maybe I should go downstairs and watch Ghost In the Shell: Innocence.

We actually voted for a Republican and a Green this time around, so we've put in our token party betrayal. :)

Is Ghost In the Shell: Innocence out already??

Not if you don't speak Japanese, and your DVD player is Region 1 only. *Gryn*

Oh, that one. I watched it in Japanese, despite not being able to understand it. I loved it. :)

It's in theaters near me (Boston) subtitled, or was anyways. It may be done now.

Hopefully it'll come visit us next (Seattle). :)

It looks like it already played in Seattle, at the "Seattle, WA Landmark Varsity Metro Seattle". It's already closed, though.

Here's a theater list: http://www.gofishpictures.com/GITS2/playdates.html

One can find fansubbed torrents around, try suprnova or bt.hongfire.com. Of course, you really shouldn't download those if it's been licensed to a US company.

5 Lib, 5 Dem, 1 L. There were multiple (R) candidates I'd have voted for if this wasn't the Year I Cannot Vote Republican.
