I am 80% socially permissive and 71% economically conservative. I am a Libertarian. Well, duh. I was alarmed to find myself on the border with the GW Bush supporters, but I guess that just reflects my ambiguity about both statist, staticist, feralist candidates.

Take the test at OkCupid Politics. And blame [livejournal.com profile] woggie for pointing us all there.

Feralists candidates? I knew they were running wild in Washington, but damn... :)

Squarely in the LP for me.

*chuckle*

Unsurprisingly, at least to me, I ended up pretty much right in the democrat section just outside of the 'centrist' circle (on the ideology view).

They have the axis for economically conservative backwards however as it lists permissive towards the top, not the bottom, but their results reflect it being at the bottom :) Either way, it put me in the place that I expected to be.

I'm surprised to find that I come out as a democrat... I've thought of myself as a Libertarian.

I think it depends much on how you answer the questions. There were questions there that read "I don't like..." or "I am uncomfortable with...". For most of those, I answered them with a suffix like "and I want to deploy the force of law to make me comfortable." Libertarians are like that; even when we're not comfortable with something, we make a bright distinction between disliking it and insisting that the force of law be used to make us comfortable again.

Apparently I'm a Socialist (78% socially permissive, 18% economically permissive). The graph they drew placed me in the Libertarian section; they got their y-axis reversed. Apparently I'm snug as a bug surrounded by Kerry supporters.

Oh good, I finally got blamed for something. :)

I keep having the attitude of not knowing exactly what classification I'm going to come out as because I'm never sure just what I am to begin with.

This thing puts me at 73% permissive (Social Liberal) and 21% economically permissive: Socialist. But the graphic showed me as wedged in the corner of Libertarian between Capitalist and Anarchist, right on Thomas Jefferson's face!

Methinks their script is broken... :)
