Each episode of this series just keeps getting better and better. I'm amazed that this show has yet to be picked up and licensed by someone in the U.S.
After last episode when Yoshino gave her rosary back to Rei (Rosa Foetida) and Lillian's School underwent a small revolution of petit soeurs giving back theirs, we learned that Yoshino, who's always been weak and short of breath, has a heart condition. She loves Rei, but she can't keep being Rei's "weak" soeur; if she's going to step into Rei's shoes someday, she has to be as strong as her kendo-winning soeur. So even though it terrifies her, she's going through with the surgery she needs. And she can't do it if Rei's hovering over her.
It's all very sweet and romantic, and naive Yumi is caught in the middle of it all, passing messages back and forth, trying desperately to avoid Rosa Gigantea's annoying and definitely physical come-ons while trying to match the poise and beauty of her own "big sister," Sachiko.
I love this series. It has no overwhelming arc except the flowering, more-than-friends relationship between Yumi and Sachiko, who are both watching the same story, told with infinite variations, going on around them.
