Whew!

I just saw the specs for Doom III, and I'm pleased to see that I manange to make the specs needed to play the game. The requirements are a 1.5 GhZ CPU, a GeForce 3 or better, 384 MB of RAM, and 2 GB of disk space. I'm not sure what I have for a CPU, it's an Athlon 2.4 or something like that, probably enough, and Omaha was kind enough to get me a GeForce 4800 MXT, so presumably I have the stuff needed to make it go.

Now, there's just that little matter of waiting... And waiting for reviews to see if it's stable.

Ah, id software. Maker of the world's most impressive 3d rendering technologies. I hear they have a sideline in making little games that show off their technology, too, just little content-lite things that demo the tech so that real game development companies licence it for real games. ;)
