Arrgh! I left the transformer for Lain's power supply at home! I can't leave it on while I'm in the office so it can run through the build. Grrr.... Damn, damn, damn. A whole day lost!

Not that I want to tell anyone how to live, but... I usually keep multiple transformers around for my laptop(s) -- luckily they use the same one, all thinkpads. One in the office, one at home and one in the car, hooked up to the power inverter hooked into the 12v system.

Yeah, but it needs 16vdc and the dc2dc converter is much more expensive than the inverter and a transformer I already have.
