elfs | Am I weird? Or: The plural of anecdote is data.

As I mentioned earlier, I got a new phone, and while there's a lot to hate about it, there are some things I do like. I like that there's an ebook reader: I've ripped through a whole bunch of books that I feared I might never get to. (I hate that the reader is dumb and sometimes can't find the book you were just reading before the phone rang, and you have to search the phone for it.) And I like the Tumblr client, which, y'know, brings me high quality smut in small, snack-size intervals while I'm waiting for my number at the DMV. (I don't like that it's ability to "explore Tumblr" is extremely difficult to navigate.)

I was recently entertained by the absurdist website Your Brain on Porn, a "pro-men, anti-porn" website that claims that porn "rewires" your brain and makes you halpless. It's a bit like the classic claim from the Christian Right that mild porn leads to a demand for harder stuff.

Except the hottest thing I've seen all day is this lovely pic of pin-up Sayako Isoyama. She has her back to you; it's virtually safe for work. (Yeah, okay, so, she's Asian; 10% of my curation is Asian, approximately 6% is African, and 14% is men. What's your point?) My taste in porn seems to be going backward; if anything, I've done all the acts I'm interested in (not, mind you, that I would be opposed to doing them again! Quite the contrary...) so their visual depiction doesn't interest me nearly as much as the sheer loveliness of the well-maintained human form.

Apparently, maturity leads to... something other than fear-mongering.
