We are going for it.

Today is probably one of the more interesting days in my company's history. It's the day we go public and start selling the product to more than "prospective" customers. (Ugh, they put flash on the homepage. I'm sorry.) I think we've got a better-than-even chance of making it. My part works and works well, and so does the rest of this rock-solid chunk of technology.

I can only hope the market sees it that way. And that our Vulture Capitalists think they need a development team.

Iiiiinteresting. Damn, I wish we'd (http://www.feedroom.com/) known about you guys before we dropped $LARGE on our most recent SAN upgrade.

Pardon me while I drool....

This is...yummy. It'd do a lot of things we'd like at work; we've got 50+ NetApp filers and 120+TB of space, so managing it is, shall we say, a PAIN IN THE ASS.

One thing I didn't see any mention of is quotas -- which would be an absolute requirement. Does it support quotas?

No, I'm afraid there's no support for quotas in the current revision of the product. Which is kinda sad, but we needed to get "an evergrowing bag of bits" out onto the market, and we threw out the two things that would prevent us from getting there with a stable platform: quotas and snapshots. Next rev, they tell us.

Damned shame...

Those are two things that are showstoppers for us. Any idea how far away the next rev is?
