that is your anthem
"New World Man", Rush

that is your ultimate love song

Molly Malone changed your life? I'll bet that's a Story...

BTW, the link to the Godsmack lyrics is exhibiting some minor bustage.... I think you missed a colon.

Fixed the bustage.

I was trying to think of something where a song "changed my life" and having a very hard time of it. I picked this one because it's the only song I remember clearly from my years in Glee Club (well, it and "Charlie on the MTA", but I liked "Molly Malone" better) and that was the first voluntary organization I ever belonged to where I felt like I actually belonged in the organization.

Aaaah. "MTA" is one I have fond memories of too, off Dad's Kingston Trio Greatest Hits album... did your glee club do the little snarky inter-line comments ("shame and scandal")?

Charlie's wife goes down
To the Scully Square station
Every day at a quarter past two.
And through the open window
She hands Charlie a sandwich
As the train comes rumbling through.

Yeah. We never did anything that fun when I was in Glee Club....

But he never returned, no he never returned
and his fate is still unlearned
He may ride forever
'neath the streets of Boston
He's the man who never returned

Not like I don't have the whole album practically memorized or anything.

My dad would sing that refrain all the time. It was only a few years that I actually heard a recording of it.
